Lady Plainsmen Softball Promote Romero to Head Coach

The Lady Plainsmen Softball begins anew with the hiring of Cesar Romero to Head Coach.

Romero spent this past season as an assistant on staff where he helped the program to one of its best seasons in recent history and its first conference victories in over 3 years which allowed them to reach the conference tournament as well. Romero has previous head coaching experience as he led the El Paso Community College baseball program. In his tenure there, El Paso saw sustained success on the field as well as the classroom where his teams had 3.0+ GPAs each year. Romero played professional ball in both the U.S. and Mexico where he was a pitcher. His collegiate playing career saw him at Fort Hays State University as a pitcher. 

Romero is excited to continue the work he has put in as an assistant for the Lady Plainsmen program and make Frank Phillips a legitimate contender on the WJCAC.
