Bio

Chad Brown enters his fifth full season with the Plainsmen and first as Head Coach. Brown has worked with the offense and infielders over the last three seasons. Since getting to FPC in 2019 he has been a part of two winning seasons and a overall record of 64-64. In 2019 the Plainsmen went 29-25 while hitting .324 as a team, this marked the first winning season since 2014. In 2021 the Plainsmen held a record of 28-26 which earned them a spot in the Conference Tournament, and a postseason berth for the first time since 2014. In 2021 the Plainsmen produced one of the best offensive seasons the program has seen in recent years, finishing 6th in the region in runs scored and 35th in the nation. 

Brown spent two seasons playing at FPC before transferring to West Texas A&M. As a freshman at Frank Phillips, Brown helped the team to a 34-22 record while making it to a Regional Tournament. In Brown's two years at West Texas, he was a part of two Conference Tournament Championships and two Regional Tournament berths. As a senior at West Texas, he was a part of a team that was ranked as high as fourth in the nation while also winning a Gold Glove as a infielder in the Lonestar Conference.
