FPC Wins Finale in Three Game Series at Tyler
Tyler, TX: The Frank Phillips College Baseball team won the final game in a three game series at Tyler Junior College on Sunday (January 26).
After losing the first two games on Saturday (January 25) by the score of 5-0 and 7-3 respectively the Plainsmen bounced back to win the finale 6-3.
Jayden Martinez reached base on an error to score Kosei Suzuki to open up the game with a 1-0 lead in the third inning. After surrendering 2 runs in the fourth and one in the fifth, the Plainsmen scored two runs in the seventh and eigth inning by Noah Vasquez and Connor Sanderson respectively.
In the ninth inning Suzki hit a three run home run to give the Plainsmen the lead and eventual lead. Matthew Hullen earned the win for the Plainsmen.
The Plainsmen return to action Friday February 7th traveling for a three game series at Cisco College.
