FPC Rodeo Makes History

[Frank Phillips College, Borger, TX, October 12, 2021] - Frank Phillips College Rodeo makes history as the host of the FPC Rodeo in Canadian, TX.

History has been made! The FPC Rodeo set a new record of the largest entered collegiate rodeo in history, with over 619 contestants, 905 total runs, & over 200 ladies entered in the Women’s Event of Breakaway-roping! 

Overall the FPC Rodeo Women's Team tied for 3rd. There is a huge congratulations due to FPC Freshman Shelby Dunning winning 3rd out of 203 Breakaway-ropers! Shelby is just the next freshman up in a long line of amazing women's rodeo members.

Shoutout to alumni Keni Labrum (2019-2021) now at Tarleton State University placing 5th in the average of the goat-tying, Rocky Rodriguez (2019-2021) now at Sul Ross State University placing 7th in the goat-tying, Bubba Holcomb (2019-2021) now at Weatherford College placing 4th in the Bareback-riding, Zach Hamar (2017-2019) now at Sul Ross State University placing 6th in the Long Round of the Tie-down Roping.
